Ok, you get the idea... Which brings me to:
Change #3- Healthy Spaces
Shannon has always been good about not keeping unhealthy snacks around but the seemingly harmless chips and salsa or the obviously-bad-for-you plate of nachos would undoubtedly be my downfall at the end of a day... accompanied by a DP or two. Now when I start the numb, brainless search for a late night snack or something to satisfy the afternoon sweet tooth, my options are limited to a few healthier choices that we buy at the beginning of each week.
Low Fat Wheat Thins and a Laughing Cow wedge
Dark Chocolate Hershey's Kisses
Diet Dr Pepper
Lots of water
Pistachios
Bananas
Sounds boring? It's not really. I'm loving the results and it's totally worth it to me. I take food to work and water with me most places so that I don't get hungry and make poor choices. Of course the one tool I could not do it without is my Weight Watchers Etools App with which I track every single thing that goes into my mouth. That's it for this "Change" post.
